Cheers to a successful game, a great dev team and the most lively monkeys in the lab.
You all will always be in my heart.

Bye MIT

3 more days left in MIT. I'll miss the friends I made since the start of summer. Time passes way too fast.

2008 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular

The Boston Pops played in sync with the fireworks for a good whole 20 minutes. It was so spectacular in the sense that it felt like the story of America was being told.

The 2008 Concert Fireworks Score
Captain Blood / Erich Wolfgang Korngold
I Just Want to Celebrate / Rare Earth
Washington Post March / John Philip Sousa
John Adams / Rob Lane, Joseph Vitarelli
I’m Shipping Up to Boston / Dropkick Murpheys
The Summer Sea / Tim Janis
Rudy / Jerry Goldsmith
Stand / Rascal Flatts
An American Soldier / Toby Keith
Remember When It Rained / Josh Groban
Patriotic Medley / John Philip Sousa
Nessun dorma! / Puccini, Pavorotti
Symphony No.1 in D “Titan” / Gustav Mahler

No one does fireworks quite like Boston; this year's was the largest and most complex Boston Fourth of July pyrotechnic display to date. More than 20 thousand pounds of explosives were used for the display, which included the largest shells yet to be used - ten-inch diameter shells that climbed to 1500 feet - nearly one and a half times the height of the Hancock Tower.

Boston's sunset is ...

ABSO-STUNNING!

A week ago I mentioned we saw the most beautiful sunset ever while cruising on Charles River. (July 01 2008 - Charles River Boat Cruise)

Elvin finally sent me the picture so here it is!

Isn't it a beauty?

Psycho Penguins

One of the things that happen when my team gets too stressed with work.
Posted by Rachel-Marie W. at Tuesday, July 15, 2008 | 0 comments read on

An everyday occurrence.

The things we see everyday on our way to work, that's if we walk.

We live next door to this house.
(I haven't got pictures of our dorm, will post up soon!)

I love how we have a swing!

The student centre. If you enlarge this photo, you'll see the Dunkin' Donuts cafe.
Its very popular here in Boston and you can almost find it in every street!
Funny how it overrules McDonalds.

The Stata Center. The most interesting architecture I've ever seen.
You should google about this building if you have yet to hear about it.

This is where I work, MIT Building NE25-388.

* Props to Paul for this stunning photo pool.

I feel guilty saying this but I've been taking the tech shuttle instead. Its a whole lot faster. I still walk back home from work in the evening though. Heh!

June 08/09 2008 - Chicago Ohare Int'l Airport

We slept on the floor when our flight got delayed for two days due to a thunderstorm.

July 01 2008 - Charles River Boat Cruise

A week ago my mentor Rashid brought us on a boat cruise which was really really awesome! We got to see the most beautiful sunset ever! Elvin took a great picture of it, I'll ask him for it and post it up soon.

After the cruise, Rashid brought us to the Cheesecake Factory for some sweet sensation and boy, the cakes are richly sweet! I wished that I had brought mummy and uncle there when they were here in Boston.
